The András Urbán Company (AUC) of the Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre (KDT) is currently the most successful creative workshop in Vojvodina, Serbia. The theatre was founded fourteen years ago by the city council of Subotica. Over the years it has become the city's cutting edge experimental theatre. AUC is an informally organised creative team producing the independent performances of director András Urbán. During the last few years the work of KDT and AUC have closely interwoven both in a creative and productive sense. The company of KDT consists of five recently graduated actors. During the past theatre season they were present at every important theatre festival in Serbia and Hungary with their performances Urbi et Orbi and Brecht - The Hardcore Machine. Both shows were performed at the BITEF Festival in Belgrade. The Kosztolányi Dezső Theatre/András Urbán Company also perform in Budapest on a monthly basis. The MASZK Association of Szeged is their regular co-producer.
